Hey guys,

can u please check if this is the right procedure for cloning a sheep (sheep in general, not just Dolly)

1. Extract somatic cell from mammary glands of donor organism and unfertilised egg cell from surrogate organism
2. Remove nucleus from egg cell using micropipette and insert somatic cell into the egg cell.
3. Electric shock to open cell membrane and start cell division.
4. Embryo develops in culture- implanted into surrogate
5. A genetically identical lamb to donor organism is born (5mth later)

when i studied bio, you shocked it once with an electrical current to fuse the nucleus with the enucleated cell, and then once more to begin cell division.
