Good if you can beat him.

Not very good if he beats you (but if he is really good, no problem)

Having two people is also good because your teacher can focus on you two.

Yeah I also had 2 in my class

It was good as in we learnt stuff heaps faster than normal

But going into the HSC my mark is pretty much determined by what I get in the external, because it is extremly unlikely that our ranks will change

If the school actually ran the class for you it would be like one on one tuition which would be pretty good.

But im guessing most schools wouldnt and you would have to do that subject through distance education, tafe, open high school etc.

Either way, your overall mark would be 100% dependent on your external mark

I've got 4 in MX1, and 3 in MX2. It's good; we all get along pretty well. Once you get about 7-8 people then there's less individual attention.

You have no assessments, probably just topic tests
If there are assessments, you don't even have to own them since you will be first nonetheless
You will know what you actually got in the hsc aha

Bad
No internal ranks to back you up if you stuff up the externals

thats awesome, u'll learn the course real quick. i think there will be around 10-20 ppl in my class. but would having two ppl doing the course be an advantage when calculating and scaling the marks?

That is really good !! I really wanna get into Physics C class where they are only three ppl in class... My Physics class got lyk 20 ppl..? -_-;;

My Maths Extension 2A class got 9 ppl whereas Ext2B got 7 ppl.
I believe its better to be in high & small classes because there will be more competition as well as ur teacher can focus on u more.

lol! at our school MX2 we have 5 classes each with about 18 people.

But it doesn't matter,i have a really good maths teacher
