Hello,

One of the options i am considering is working in childcare. What are the different levels of childcare qulaifications and do I need to study full time to get a certificate first before I can work in a childcare cnetre or can I study and work at the same time ?

You can enter a traineeship in Childcare so that means you can work and study at the same time. You don't need to have any prior qualifications. After gaining your certificate this can lead on to further full time or part time study to increase your qualifications up to degree level and beyond.

Visit www.newapprenticeships.gov.au to find out details on a traineeship in Childcare.

Also you could speak to a group training organisation that specialises in Community Service qualifications - HIGTC - Ph:02 9817 7463 or www.higtc.com.au :)
