Electricity generating stations have found ways of combating thermal pollution including using cooling towers so cooling water is completely recycled and the use of cooling lakes as a dedicated supply of cooling water. This is a costly process but the move comes as a result of social accountability. Social accountability is conducted in the face of irrefutable scientific evidence.

Question: What scientific evidence might you have provided to prompt this costly move by the electricity companies?

I was thinking about writing....decreased levels of dissolved oxygen killing aquatic life for one peice of evidence.

yeah its water. its the part about thermal pollution and all that.
