I would say Odlum and Garner because I heard that they have the BEST answer. Creelman is another good book because it has sorted out all of the questions into different topics. For Success One, people said that the quality of the answer is not very good. But one of my friends said that it provides more space for you to write down your answer :p

In my opinion, I don't think the layout is that important, as long as you've got one past paper book like Odlum & Garner or Success One that have the HSC examination format for you to get use to, then you're set!

I find the layout and answers irrelevant.

So long as the past paper questions are there and some answers (which you should only use as guidlines) are there then just grab the cheapest one.

I've never looked at success one.

I have O&G and it's a good book, very good answers, plus handy foot notes as well with some answers, altho i have come across some mistakes, but it happens.

Creelman is also good, makes life easier if doing topic by topic, but O&G has the pages/questions listed for each module too.

as for writing in the book, I dont, I just read the question, and write the answer on one of those A4 refill sheets.

I brought Success One as it was cheap 2nd hand at school XD

I did however, get Creelman for physics and i browsed through Odlum + Garner. Creelman was set out nicely although some question could have been explained in more detail. O&G answers were very good but the book itself is somewhat uncommon. Success One answers could be improved on as many extended responses are way too long.

Like iRuler, I never wrote on the lines given in the text book :)

Yeah, i like my txt books to be clean. I tend to go through those questions more than once and rubbing out answers/having permanent answers there defeats the purpose of re using the book/questions XD

This, plus sometimes not enough space.
