I'm currently doing B Business (Accounting) at UWS and am aiming to transfer to B Business at UTS next year.

My UAI was 74.85. The cutoff for my desired course is 90.15 i think and it has gone down for the past 2 years.

Also, the B Business course at UTS recommends that applicants send a Business questionaire as part of their application as this gives bonus points.

So far, I'm doing well. I haven't failed anything so far and have gotten a couple of passes, credits and distinctions.

Do I have a good chance to transfer?

A good estimate can be made, but this will require:

- this year's cut-off for the course
- the entire list of your subject results (Pass, Credit, Distinction, not the actual numbers) for every subject you've studied at uni and what you expect to get in this year's subjects.

Find those and I'll tell you your chances.

So my questionaire will play a big role in whether I'm successful or not?
Not without marks at least in a close range to what is required.

questionaiires give you extra points/marks but it has to be quite outstanding and as moonlight Sonata ahs said, you do need marks that are close to the amrk.
tell us you rmarks or gpa and find th emark on the uac website and we or you can give it a good guess.

Just got my results for Semester 1 and I got 2 Credits and 2 Distinctions.

Is this good enough? I'm hoping to do better in the 2nd semester though.

I'd say that with such a uai a distinction average would be needed (although this is just an estimate). So you would effectively need 2 hd's and 2 d's next semester.

itd depend alot of what sorta NSWNRSL index ppl who successfully transfer into the course get? Sure a distinction average is normal for transfers but if the course has vanacies (as an example) i doubt you'd need that high.
So.. ask around and find out what index ppl who made it in go, or what index ppl who didnt make it in got.. and if you have no idea what index im talking about read frigids post that everyone constantly refers to around these threads :)

Was just reading the selection criteria for B Business at UTS from this link.

http://www.uts.edu.au/study/pdfs/ug_crit_bus.pdf

Since I'm applying for the start of 2006, I'm a Non Current School Leaver. Under this, it says "Non Current School Leaver applicants for the Faculty of Business are selected on the basis of a combination of academic merit and assessment of an optional Bachelor of Business Questionnaire or optional Leisure, Sport and Tourism Application Questionnaire."

It says they consider your UAI if you're a current school leaver. It does not say that they consider your UAI for NCSL.

So does that mean they only take into account my Uni results and questionnaire?

It says a combination of academic merit, and that can include UAI and uni results. THe questionaire can only add a maximum of 10 points to your application also.
