So any good suggestions as to what country i should do a case study on? I don't really want to do China, because like EVERYONE is probably going do to it.

Others could be: Brazil, Ireland, Russia, any of the BRICs are good

I did Singapore and I thought it was great. It has examples of virtually every feature of globalisation + impacts. The info isn't too hard to find either, and they have quite a comprehensive list of data, available at the following site:
