The pre-requisites you need for pilot are mostly concerned with math. Depending on which state you are in and their education levels. For an exact list go to http://www.defence.gov.au/raaf/psa/ from their you will find a link to education requirments and that will let you know exactly.
The ADF employ pilots in all the Services and vary from fast jets to helicopters, depending on whether you want Navy, Army or Air force. You can also go to www.defencejobs.gov.au to reserch which Service you would prefer.

There are many career paths in the Defence Force for people who would like to be a pilot in the Navy, Army or Air Force. You could enter as a Direct Entry Officer, through the Australian Defence Force Academy, as a Special Service Officer (Army) or through the Royal Military College as a General Service Officer in the Army.

Direct Entry Officer's (Navy & Air Force) are applicants who have successfully completed their HSC and if selected will commence their officer training and then follow on directly to pilot training.

There are two avenues to become an Army pilot. One avenue is to join the Army as a General Service Officer (GSO), the other is to join as a Specialist Service Officer (SSO). The SSO Pilot Scheme is designed to produce sufficient pilots, on short-term commissions, to operate the Army's aircraft. The career of the SSO may be short-term or long-term. GSO enter service either through the Australian Defence Force Academy, gaining tertiary qualifications along the way or directly through the Royal Military College, Duntroon (RMC). It is important to note that if you enter as a GSO you are not guaranteed the Aviation Corps this will be determined by the Army at the end of your training.

The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) is situated in Canberra, ADFA is a university like no other, offering the best university teacher-to-student ratio in the country. Run jointly by the Navy, Army and Air Force in conjunction with the University of New South Wales (UNSW), it offers combined military and leadership training with a fully recognised degree from the UNSW.

To be eligible for pilot applicants must have completed year 12 with passes in English, Maths and two other academic subjects. Maths in Society or similarly modified Maths subjects are not acceptable. Applicants must also have achieved a minimum of a C grade or equivalent in year 10 science.
