Find the domain over which the curve y=x^3+12x^2+45x-30 is increasing

Find dy/dx, and then find the values for which dy/dx is positive. I'll get you started:

dy/dx = 3x2+ 24x + 45

Now find where the parabola is above the x-axis. That is the domain over which y is increasing.
