I stood in the queue for 20 minutes and then it took 5 mins to get my book and then 20 mins again in the queue to pay.

Make sure you leave an hour before getting in the queue and your next class.

I don't know if it will happen or not but some books were already sold out when I went at 11am on Monday so double check they are in stock before you get in the line =)

i got there at 8 30am

no line outside door

got in - 20min to find my books

lined up- long line inside maybe 25people or so- 20-25min in line.

But.....

I was spewing as they had 2 registers open for that many people.

I then found myself quite happy when i came back after A 2hr lecture and saw a line of about 100 people outside the shop.

My advice- go at 8am when the doors open.

I mistakenly thought the line would die down later on in the day, but I ended up standing in the line for a good half hour, then another fifteen minutes inside the bookstore. The best option I think is to get there at 8am.

I generally go in a week or two before uni starts to avoid the queues. It will probably be like this for the next week or two, best bet would be go either really early in the day or really late and grin and bare it.

Guys you do realise the bookstore delivers, and its a fairly quick turn around, say like 3 days?

The line today was INSANE! There was no way I was going to wait in it for what I estimate to be at least 2 hours.

yep .

go at 8am in the morning. there is a small line waiting for the doors to open.

But if u go then u can take a bit of time to find everything u need and line up. at the worst case you'll take 30-40 minutes but you won't be waiting to enter the bookshop.

Do you look around the store for course notes or do I need to ask someone in the store?

There's a seperate store for course notes just downstairs from the co-op... you don't have to browse yourself you ask at the counter for what you want and they get it for you. just make sure you check the pieces of paper pinned up around the place to make sure your reader is in stock.. I've heard they get pretty unimpressed if you ask them to look for things they don't have.

Oh my GOD.

Did anyone see the line today? It was RIDICULOUS. When I saw it, it had extended right up to the 'new' 'TV'-looking thing attached to the U@MQ/S@M/C10A/(Campus experience?) building.

course notes- I went when the line was 3 rows back (in an S shape following the ropes).

Didn't take long at all to get through it maybe 15-20min. They had the best practice by getting the notes for you. they had them all waiting to go so u just ask and they grab em, simple. they also have around 3 or 4 people which makes it faster.

This morning the line was an hour long for the book store at about 9.30 - glad I bought most of my books on Monday - will wait till next week to get my last book!

I heard the line was over 2 hours long yesterday righ back past the big tv and right up to the stalls on the far side.

I thought I would check out the second hand store and it was really long too!
