First off, an apology; this is a completley pointless thread; just feel like venting to you all.

Right. Applied to for a position with Ch 7 in their HR dept. Just got off the phone from a really good, easygoing, humourous, 20 minute telephone interview that ended like this:

Cory (Interviewer): So, your current study commitments... it says here you're at uni, right?"
Me: "Yep"
C: "So... are you intending on continuing that while you're with us?"
Me "Uh... yes, I enjoy it and haven't got any intentions of pulling out early!"
C: "...you are aware this is a full time job?"
M: .....

:jaw:

...bugger (well, didn't quite end like that, but that's where the 'interview' came to a halt).

Note to self for future: read the whole advert. Just because it says "current student or graduate" does not mean part time.

Channel 7 HR... that wouldnt be a bad position.... Why dont you become an evening student - that way its the best of both worlds... Study and work..

just my thoughts...

Ch 7 would've been an awesome position. In the heat of the moment I had thought about going part time, but any dramatic decision would've been thoroughly un-thought-through. Granted, it could be put off to a degree, but when I've considered part-time studies in the past, it's never been particularlyattractive.

Well.. no, it is attractive, but the idea of finishing my course is MORE attractive :)

As in I've got no intentions on leaving uni for the position.

Oh I know what it meant, my childish side kinda just prevented me from reading and rather initiated my giggling:rofl:

yeah that would have been a great job, pity it's full time. if she liked you enough maybe she will keep you in mind for part time jobs.

I have a friend who got offered a job in network marketing last year. So she would be able to focus on the job, she went from a full time student to a part time last year, and then this year she had decided to defer her enrolment. She's become so focused on her new job, she's decided that she's not gonna come back and complete her degree! Oh well.... :)
