we don't do IT at UNSW. We do computer science, which is based on understanding the machine rather than just learning the language.

I didn't dis UTS in the first place, having known some UTS grads myself, they are work ready the moment they graduate. I feel better studying computing at UNSW.

OP: To be honest, you're probably just after validation for whatever decision you made. Ideally, you should have checked out both universities and seen which one you prefer. For something like IT, MQ and UNSW are comparable unless there are any specialities or whatever you want to get into.
