basic algebra and arithmetic test in 2 weeks-need help with a problem (1 Viewer)

basicaly my teacher gives us a page of notes,2 easy examples and expects the class to finish their h.w by the next lesson.the problem is their is litttle to no congruency between her lessons and the h.w she gives-there still the same topic but its that the h.w is much harder than the notes and examples are sufficient for.

so can somebody help me with a few problems i got and please include the working out.thanx in advance.ill add more later.

1. 1/x-1 - 1/x-2 = 4

i'd just cross multiply the fractions.

x-2-(x-1) / (x-1)(x-2) = 4
-1 / (x-1)(x-2)=4
-1 = 4(x^2 - 3x + 2)
4x^2 - 12x + 9 = 0
(2x-3)^2 = 0
x = 1.5
