Does anyone know why marks in the high forties for Studies of Religion 1 unit get scaled down to below 30 according to the Einstein ATAR calculator??? I'm freaking out here... I've been advised that this is the most accurate ATAR calculator out there...
Any idea why this might be so?

Because SOR isn't a difficult subject compared to others. (eg: physics)
but i dont think that scaling is right tho.
high 40s shouldnt go be going down to below 30.
Try Talent100 ATAR Calculator

Though I realise the difference in difficulty, I felt the same way. For some reason it also accepts a mark above 50 which is impossible for a 1 unit subject.
Thanks so much for your input. I'll give it a go.

ohhh i think i know why.
because, maybe the calculator your using is doing it my percentages.
so when you do 40/50, it programs it as 40/100.
so if you got 40/50, just type in 80 into the calculator and itll work

I just tried it... I suspect you may be right despite marks higher than 50 not being accepted for other subjects. I'm hoping that SOR is just a "one-off" mistake on the ATAR calculator. Fingers crossed!!
