ATAR and WAM (1 Viewer)

Hi guys

With an ATAR of 97.95 is there anyway I'd be able to get into UNSW medicine? Even with a HD wam would it be possible? I'm planning on doing Commerce at UNSW

Depends on your UMAT score. To maintain an ATAR of ~98 you'll need mostly HDs. For an ATAR well into the 99s you'll need over a 90+ WAM.

"An applicant who scores a ATAR of around 98 would need to achieve results of high distinctions in some courses and distinctions in the rest in order to maintain the equivalent ATAR".

Assuming HD will raise yours to 98.5-99.0, you need around 90%ile UMAT for 99.0 (or 93%ile for 98.5) to get an interview offer. Also note if just above the interview cutoff you will need to score a top interview to get a place, so realistically you need >95%ile UMAT.
