woot! melbourne cup!

im almost ready. now i just have to do the tedious stuff like memorising data and boring definition. gah.. bor-ing

if you haven't done so already now is the time to start making links between all the topics. eg conflicts between the issues, the policy mix to address various issues, effects of globalisation on various economies, effects of the CAD on each of the issues, etc, etc. this is where your marks will come from in essays. most people seem to memorise their eco textbook and think that's enough. i find that soo pointless. eco is all about understanding. if you feel understand all the concepts and the links then you're almost there.

OK. What raw mark is necessary for say, a band 5 or a band 6?

i think it would be pretty high... 85+ raw for band6?

no offence

but the papers seem pretty easy, so much easier than trials

i just hope they wont give us a very restrictive topic for essay

Write in an essay format-intro, body, conclusion. You are allowed to add in diagrams though e.g. Floating exchange rate

my teacher told us
economics is a classic subject, so no "they" "he" "she" "it" or any emotive words watsoever. dont write anything if u cant back it up with facts and figures, dont do subheadings, WRITE LOGICALLY!

My teacher said it didn't have to be an essay. It can be a report. Headings, sub-headings, and he also said LOTS of diagrams. But remember to refer to them haha.

labour market reforms now 6? .. whaaa.. im so confused with the awards???/
Let's see. Awards are specified minumum wage and conditions dtermined by a government tribunal. That's different to AWA and CA.

Wait.. so there are still collective agreements? I thought the whole point of WorkChoices is that you need to have AWA...

Gahhh damn labour market crap!

^

work choice is trying to push everyone to having AWA

CA will eventually phrase out, because employers will find AWA much more attractive (whereas an employee cannot ask for a CA)
but it will take a long time for that to happen

I don't know if I'm ready or not.

Just cram till the last minute. That's wat i do mostly.

But I really don't feel like cramming since HSC started.

Eco is my last, already lost grounds in 3u, can't screw up again!

Very anxious!
