Nah they didnt call mine - i dont think places which ussualy hire the young type of people dont ussualy check up on refrecnces - but im coporate jobs, and other jobs which require an education will check up on ur refrences.

No, they don't really give. esp supermarkets...

do they even look at the apps?

afaik they didnt check mine - BUT they probably look at WHO you put as a reference i.e. Two teachers given as references probably looks better than 2 family friends.
