I suggest texts where freak-type protagonists are all isolated (don't belong) and alienated and stuff. Um.... *thinking* ........................................ I've got it - the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee where a black man is accused of the rape of white girl simply because of his skin colour - he is the black sheep. But, the black man is not too much a major character in the text.
