Can anyone tell me the surface area formula for a square based prism? Also, please help me solve these questions.
13. A rectangular prism with a square base is to have a surface area of 250 cm2.
a) Show that the volume is given by V = (125x - x3)/2
b) Find the dimensions that will give the max volume.
10.Find the radius and height of a cylinder that holds 200cm3, if its surface area is to be a minimum.(What does it mean SA is to be a minimum? Does it mean 2nd derivative less than zero?)
Thanks a bunch!
