Ancient History (Honours) (1 Viewer)

I was just wondering if anyone here has done this course. I have spoken to one girl from ur uni who has done it and now works as an archaeologist and seems to reali enjoy her job.

Is it a good course? I really enjoy History and the course looks great to me , but I'm extremely worried about my prospects after I finish JUST an Ancient History course. I just want to hear from people that have done/ are doing this course, what they have gone on to do after it or are planning to do with it.

I would love to do that archaeologist kind of job where I'm going overseas for 3months and then come back to do reasearch but I also understand how not many people would obviously be able to be part of that, including myself.

Just some more insight to this degree please anything at all

I'm also doing ancient history honours this year at macquarie and i'm so excited. I was a bit worried about job prospects after, but there is the opportunity of doing a short teaching course and becoming a teacher, or even working in a museum which i'm probably going to do.
