I know nothing about Algeria politically or their civil unrest situation, although if Al Qaeda is advocating it, it is probably something we (the further developed world) don't want to see occur.

he really wasn't that bad when he was in power. a little wacko, but to be honest, the lesser of most evils in the middle east.

Look at Libya; they waste 8 months of precious time which they could've used to further develop their shithole of a country, they assassinated the one man who gave them free healthcare, free electricity and considered a house a given. Algeria will follow suit, and in turn adopt Sharia law.
