HSC
2019
Hello,
I've recently finished my HSC and also changed my universities preferences. My projected ATAR is slightly lower than the 99.5 cutoff for Commerce/Law (around 99-99.3), and I have a few questions to those who have experience in transferring to USyd Law through another University initially:
  1. Has there been cases in which the minimum ATAR cutoff was lower than 99.5, excluding Bonus points? (i.e. subsequent UAC rounds after the first rounds) I know that the Law degree is one of the most competitive courses but I would just like some insight. Otherwise:
  2. If I choose to go to Macquarie University's Law School, what would be the requirements and cutoffs for university assessments in order to transfer to USyd? Would my ATAR be taken into consideration if I tried to transfer after a year? I have heard ambiguous statements about needing to average HD's, but does that mean to both Commerce and Law?
Thank you very much.
