So I just put my trial marks into two ATAR calculators - one from atarcalculator.com.au, and for the other I used SAM here on bored of studies.

My dilemma is that I put exactly the same marks into each:
Adv English 91%
Ext English 92%
Religion 2U 89%
PDHPE 85%
Legal Studies 83%
Mathematics 53% (hate maths haha)

and the Einstein calculator came out with an ATAR of 86.6, whilst the SAM calculator came out with an ATAR of 97.10.

Can anyone explain this? Am I doing something wrong?

(ps. I have double checked numerous times to make sure that I didn't accidentally enter them incorrectly.)

SAM doesnt work properly, so it gives highly unreliable results. ATAR calculators only deal with final marks. Entering your trial marks into an ATAR calculator is pointless and will yield you an incredibly inaccurate estimate as raw internal marks are heavily moderated by BOS. Usually, an ATAR calculator is accurate to within ~1.5 and is very useful the day before UAC releases the ATARs when you have your final marks.
