Hi all!

So I’m part way through my accounting degree. If I choose to major in a certain field such as auditing, will this limit my job prospects after graduation? Or can I still do other jobs that I didn’t major in? Because I’m still unsure what type of Accountant I actually want to be.

I didn't know you could major in auditing... usually accounting in itself is the major, and then there are elective subjects such as auditing, management accounting, etc. which you can choose to do from a list. (that being said, you may need to select electives which are pre-requisites for professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, etc)

I agree with seremify007 I think it what is more important to ensure that your degree covers the entrance requirements of professional bodies such as CA /IPA/CPA etc.

What University are you studying accounting at ? Because this is the first time I've heard of individuals being able to have a major in accounting.
