Hi all,
I have an essay due on my point of view regarding acceptance as the most important part of belonging and I was wondering if I could get a few ideas to get going . I have to refer to a prescribed text and two other pieces of related material. For those that have read Doppelganger by Michael Parker do you think it is a useful piece of related material in this essay?

Just a few ideas:
What do you think of belonging? Complex concept? What is it shaped by? Social, cultural or historical contexts? What aspects of belonging are more important? Cultural heritage? Familial relationships? Friendships?

Never heard/read Doppelganger.
