Im doing an essay or thesis on childhood, the question is "what is childhood"

I was just wondering if anyone can give me a list of academic resources I can find and use on the internet

Start with google scholar. It's a great place for getting a lot of academic articles. A huge chunk are available for free as pdfs, which is very handy.

Otherwise, if you're at university (or have a friend that is), you can use their databases. Thinks like JSTOR and Trove are places to be looking.
