about half yearly exams and HSC exam (1 Viewer)

hey, what happens if you don't do as well in your half yearly exams as you expected? does it contribute to much of your final mark? or is it mostly based on the HSC exam?
And also, what happens when you have 11 units rather than 10 or 12? i don't understand how it works...because what if you do well in that 1 unit course? does it get counted in the final top 10 units? i heard someone say that the 1 unit and 2 unit marks get averaged...is that true?

If you have 11 units and do extremely good in a one unit subject, it usually gets halved in between the subject you did the wrost in. Thus 1 unit is contributed from that subject and the other one from the subject you did really bad in. So yeah, it's pretty much averaged.
