Regarding Planes in 3D Vectors, there is a lot that can be learnt. Would anyone be kind enough as to clarify what exactly we need to know about planes, that is relevant to the 4U syllabus?

Mostly appears to be sketches, proofs and finding exact values of points on a shape. I didn't do Mathematics Extension II though, so do not put full trust into what I wrote here.

There was a 2022 HSC question 16 problem that include projectile motion problem with a horizontal plane (probably not actually related to planes).

Look through the HSC papers with the word "plane" when searching to get a good idea of the type of questions you could get.

u can break it down into 2 things, everything from ext 1 vectors but just add a dimension, so we r including things like proofs, projection, parallel, perpendicular, dot product, etc. Then we have the exclusive 4u stuff, which is spheres, and equations of lines. Essentially if u learn all of this u should be fine for 4u vectors, but again past papers is the best way to test ur knowledge.

Right. Thanks for the responses! It seems as if plane specific stuff is out of syllabus as far as I can see (or just isn't usually tested) (i.e plane equations, angles between planes, plane interaction with lines/spheres etc.)
