Objects/foreground/background/size/placement:
> human being --> no facial features, shortened arms, black T-shirt, grey shorts/skirt --> looks like a drum stick dressed as a human
> 3 buildings --> right-side in foreground, left-side middle-ground, centre in background, chimney in the background on the top of background building with smoke blowing out slightly to the left
> cardboard box in the foreground --> writing on the side indistinguishable
> white road --> diagonally left, diagonally right, diagonally left
> written text: "1036x1372 1004kb" --> appears to be the photograph measurements
> grey sky --> relatively insignificant
> human (large)--> half height of frame, third of width of frame --> focal point of image
> buildings (large) --> takes up approximately three quarters of the image --> reflective of the domineering nature of technology, materialism within society?
> written text placed at the bottom of the image

Colour/lighting:
> shades black and white
> buildings dark
> road light
> sky grey
> human light
> clothing dark
> cardboard box grey to black

Angles:
> just about eye-level

Shots:
> mid-long shot? half body shown with surroudings

My interpretation: It is a warning of what future reality may be like as a result of accepting the status quo (the way things are) and the course it is undertaking. If we as human beings continue to carry on oblivious to the blatant problems of the world (pollution, economic priorities, business orientated people) the future will turn out to be bleak and depressing. The most obvious technique employed is colour. Through a lack of colour the positivity of the world is stripped, leaving behind the dark visions of negativity. The juxtaposition of the whites and blacks represent the battle of good and evil; of positive and negative within the world. The colour black dominates. This colour symbolism implies negativity/evilness/viceroy/sin prevails. Through the positioning of the human being in the lower half of the image dominance is assumed by the environment i.e. the buildings and sky. The human being has lost status. The use of a lack of facial features and dark clothing emphasises the dehumanisation of the individual within the economic world of materialism and commercialism. Humanity is degraded. Humans are now desensitised and are oppressed. By using various techniques such as colour, placement and clothing the image represents a reality that is the product of accepting the status quo; letting technology and economic activity destroy the human identity.
