can u use unlocked phones on the three network?

eg if i buy a v3xx unlocked can i use it on three?

i have a feeling 3 is gay and only let you use phones you buy from them??

No you can, you just may miss out on some 3 branded products which have to be built into the phones firmware.

so i can buy any new phone, (as long as its unlocked) and it will work? or does it have to be a type that 3 sell?

i guess what i wanna know is can i buy a totally different phone and have it work on 3?

cause i wanna buy one of those 199$ phones that they sell in the supermarkets, pay the $ to get it unlocked off telstra and use it.

I'm not sure that ANY phone will work, im guessing it will have to be 3G to run on their network. Or do they support 2.5G? anyone?

3G is the type of network.
v3x and v3xx are both 3G phones.

3 network has awful coverage

tho they do have good deals on phones.

for that reason i dont know why youd buy a telstra or whatever, to use on the 3 network...

cause i have had no end of trouble with my phone from 3 and they have sent it for repairs a million times, wont replace it. its shit! and i still have over a year on the contract
