My name is Samuel, I'm a 2023 HSC graduate, offering 1 on 1 tutoring for Software Design and Development (SDD), the new syllabus equivalent Software Engineering, and most levels of Mathematics (Advanced, Extension 1, Extension 2, Yr7-10 upon request).
Academic Achievements
- ATAR: 99.95
- SDD: 99/100, 2nd in State. 99.7/100 for major work, a Python-based game. 1st in school.
- Maths Advanced: Accelerated in 2022. 100/100, 9th in State. 1st in school.
- Maths Extension 1: Accelerated in 2022. 97/100, 1st in school.
- Maths Extension 2: 95/100, 1st in school.
- Dux of School.
- Band 6 in all subjects undertaken.

Philosophy
1 on 1 tutoring should be specialised to what you need, not a predefined generalist program. Our tutoring sessions will be tailored to what you need, whether exam preparation, reviews of topics, questions you have; whatever areas for improvement are identified by you or me.
In the same way, sessions are in the format you desire, you are able to choose the length and frequency of sessions.
Rather than rote learning different questions that might appear in exams, I will expose you to a wide variety of question types that challenge your conceptual knowledge of topics, helping you to develop a better understanding topics in the syllabus.
Services available
- 1 on 1 tutoring for SDD, Software Engineering, Maths Advanced, Maths Extension 1, Maths Extension 2. I have openings available from Term 1 2024.
- Software major work consultation - available in an extended, intensive, one-off, or other negotiable formats. I am able to help with any part of the major work process, from figuring out ideas, to folios, to coding the project, to reviewing existing work. I have openings available for one-off or intensive major work consultation in the last week of this holidays, from the 22nd to the 26th of January 2024.
- Intensive holiday tuition for all of the same subjects, whether reviewing past topics you have difficulty with, or providing an overview of upcoming topics. I have openings available for this from the 22nd to the 26th of January 2024.
I am available online or in-person (location negotiable).
Software Teaching
I have real-world out-of-school experience in computing and programming; I apply this knowledge in tandem with the syllabi of SDD or Software Engineering to ensure you have sufficient knowledge to complete all assessment tasks and answer all questions in Trial and HSC exams.
Maths Teaching
I will focus on areas that you need help with; including gaps in your knowledge from previous years, exam technique, or challenging already performing students to achieve even higher results.
I am highly regarded amongst my school cohort as someone who is able to clarify concepts and answer questions with clarity, providing knowledgeable assistance. I ran well received Maths revision seminars during my time in Year 12 for fellow students.
