Feel free to post your predictions on what questions will be asked on the Economics Exam for this year.

For the essay (in no order):
Labour markets
Case Study
Globalisation
Macro policy mix

What does everyone else think?

Pretty much the same as above for the essays:

Labour Market Policies
Case Study/Globilisation
Causes/Effects of CAD
Macro policy mix (hopefully even though they had them individually last year).

I wouldn't be surprised to see an essay on environmental policies (i.e. carbon tax)

My teacher thinks this as well - makes sense considering it is a current issue and it would be easy to find relevant stimulus info. If there is an option between labour markets and environment ill probably storm out of the exam room in anger!

CAD (always likely)
Environmental Sustainability (would seem timely)
Macroeconomic Policies (last year was micro, my guess this year will be macro)
Labour Market Policies (hasnt been asked for a while)

My thoughts are either:

- Labour Market Policies (FWA have had their review this year)
- Environmental Management (Contemporary Issue perhaps?)
- Inflation
- CAD/External Stability
- Globalisation

Yeah I've had similar ideas to what's been posted. Anyone who's done the 2012 CSSA and Independent papers, could you please post the essay questions from them? I've noticed a trend that CSSA can be pretty close to HSC

in order of likeliness

Labour markets
BOP question
Case Study
Globalisation
Environment
Inflation

Yes I noticed that too. I have a feeling the HSC will be based around the CSSA this year.

My predictions are
-Labour Market Policies
-Case Study/Globalisation
-CAD #
-BOP perhaps?

Interesting....although im not sure BOP should be that high up the list, it was asked in 2010 from memory and they tend to repeat the BOP questions every 3 years or so. In saying that, i'd love for them to put one in.

Also, the CSSA trial questions were:
-Monetary
-Labour Markets
-BOP
-Case Study

Cheers fellas for the questions. BOP hasn't been asked for something like 5 years, external stability was asked in 2010 though. If they ask something within 2 years they usually have to twist it in some way so I'm feeling hopeful :)

Wouldn't like to see it at all lol.

Also, it was sorta tested in 2009 but i don't know whether that's too long for them to be able to test it again
