Well, now they've been submitted, i thought i'd create a topic for anyone who felt like posting/showing their finished works! I'd love to see them all, whenever anyone is ready to show them. :D

(I'll post mine soon, I just have to upload them, etc.)

I don't know when I can get a photo of mine up, but I did a series of drawings of animals in ballpoint pen and put them all up together on a board thingy.

Looks alright... Due to the teacher placing everything (drawings and feathers, leaves etc) onto the board based on how they would best attract marks, it just doesn't look exactly like an artwork.... more like a project - nothing really interacting with each other.

I'm having a hell of a time writing my reflection statement at the moment. What on earth can I put in... >_< To be honest, there's not much of a 'concept' (a word I hate since the beginning of Year 12), but my teacher said it was alright.

This is my major work:

Series of drawings that are supposed to resemble a corner. Called "Cornered". My concept is pretty simple :)

Wow, that looks really interesting Zaqwerty, I'd love to see it up close! Is it positioned in the shape of a corner, or did you just draw/shape it so it looked that way? Haha, i can't tell from the photo. Looks excellent, anyway.

I finally got some time to upload mine... I put it on deviant art, and I'll link it so it doesn't slow everyone's computers down...

:D

Here's two of them, just to give you an idea...

They're positioned with the first one in the centre, and the others surrounding it in a star-ish shape.

It's drawn to resemble a corner (so that it looks like a corner even though it's on a flat wall) but it looks best set up in an actual corner. That photo of it set up though isn't in a corner. People told me it looked like wings just sitting flat on the wall, so I made a last minute decision (as in at 8.55am of the morning it was due) that it should be set up in a corner! (I used the word "corner" way too much there)

Woah, looks good, but I don't know what you mean by a star shape? Any chance you have a photo of it all together?

Either way, those photos even as singular works beat half the BOW's I've seen lately :p

Oh i see, hehe, well you fooled me with not setting it up as a corner, but i do get the angel wings thing.

Thanks! Hehe. Umm, it's not that complicated i'm probably just bad at explaining it, hehe. I think i have a photo of it being shoddily set up...

There it is. Not a very good picture but you get the idea, one on the top, three in the middle and two on the bottom.

Yes, we had to do a reflection statement. Like the little paragraphs of text beside each artwork in the Art Express books.

I'm sorry I don't have a suitably(is that a word...)-sized pic for a forum but here's a link to where there is a pic of my Major Work.....HERE

They're are all ballpoint pen drawings! (I can't do much else...)

Btw is there anyone else on DeviantART?

lol yes, you're right. How did you know I'm sidney? o_o

Caringbah's alright. But I'll still like Woolooware sooo much better. I have to walk nearly half a km to get from French class to VA at Caringbah. Being able to do French is the only thing keeping me there.

How are you finding the end of high school whoever you are? (i'm too dumb to figure out who you are......somebody from my Yr10 VA class?) Are you doing art this year?

edit: Jason....?

Well i go to a rural school... and the 'common' medias stay at school, according to my art teacher. So digital art, film, photography and i would assume documented forms get sent away... wearables probably do too...

Yeah it's jason, how did u know lol?

My art teacher (i will keep the name confidential lol) went to see the artworks at your school, i would've gone too but I didnt know it was on. She told me about it later, and when i saw these pics i knew it had to be you, its so your style! do you still do the clay animals?

I did wearable arts, but it turned into a collection of work since i also did photography, ill find some pics. i had Lauren and my teachers daughter model it. my whole majorwork was 20 pieces it was so annoying to wrap.

Wow 20 separate pieces! Mine was something like 20 but then I went and stuck them all down on a board so yay only 1 :)

When did your teacher go? I only saw my Yr 8 teacher at the opening but I don't think that's who you have (unless there are 2 art classes. Or 3...)

I don't do clay animals anymore (to be honest, I only did them to keep from dying of boredom and act like i had something to do in class). But i still make little sculptures and stuff....like figurines of characters etc

Btw there's no other guy from my Yr 10 VA class who was obsessed with labels and wanted to design ladies' clothing. Had to be you ;)

I'd post mine but ...I didnt get a chance to take a photo of mine before it was handed in and it's currently locked in the storeroom but I plan to get a photo soon to put into portfolios for Uni application type things.... then I might post it up.

Mine had 10 and it was a collection of works....and it really was a mix of media. Sculpture with electricity and stuff, digital clipart, painting, charcoal, pencil sketch, permanent marker, ... yeah :)

I'm still not believing it's over......

I did photography for my major body of work, and all submitted works were put into a collection titled "Pop-ish" which consisted of seven works.

I still yet have to write an artists statement, and i do not have a photograph of my works together, however I do have links to them, because deviant art is the best. ^_^

I had them printed on a rather large scale, minimum size was 870mm x 650mm and not only were the prints large scale but also was the price tag , thankfully i've had offers on everyone of them, so i can easily recoup my money. :)

I got an internal mark of 48/50 so i'm hoping the HSC markers would like it as much as my school's markers did! ....Hopefully.....

P.S.
<----- That emoticon is retarded.
