    Sunshine

A friend saw it. Said it was the second worst film he'd ever seen. Still, I haven't seen it, so. But Danny Boyle. The poor bastard never seemed to get it back after Trainspotting.

    gel electrophoresis

Our electrophoresis practical worked fine last year... and it's really quite a fun one as well. In terms of answering questions related to it... You should generally know exactly how to set up and perform one (which is where your practical comes in), so that you can answer questions based on...

    Weak Acid Strong Acid??

HI is a strong acid. You should be able to write out a balanced equation that proves that it totally ionises.

    Music you HATE

OMG Snow Patrol. I used to love them so much. If I hear Chasing Cars one more fckn time... "If I just lay here..." Please stay that way and never get up. And I've met them to. One of the biggest bunch of wankers.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Eternal Sunshine is a fantastic text to use. Hundreds of techniques to talk about and very easily linked to imaginative journeys. Just make sure, as someone mentioned earlier, to not get too bogged down in the plot. You should ONLY EVER talk about a plotline if it for some reason makes an...

HELP!! - he who returns from a journey is not the same as he who left

That question is basically asking you to talk about change. Any kind of change... in attitude, mindset, position etc. If you're having trouble seeing how a character changes, then you're analysing a text with a bad portrayal of a journey.

What was the last CD you bought?

    Traveling Wilburys - Volume One

    hot fuzz

Hot Fuzz is fckin fantastic. I'm in London at the moment, so I can't look at any British cops the same way anymore. To anyone who hasn't seen it yet, watch Shaun of the Dead and Bad Boys II before you go. So many shot steals and in-jokes.

    Transformers - The Movie (2007)

It's gonna be a Michael Bay film. Period. But nonetheless fun.

    Layer Cake

It's okay. Still an enjoyable film. It's seen as very weak, but that's primarily because it's always being compared to Lock Stock and Snatch. When you let it stand on it's own, it's still not a bad film. And you can tell it's what got Daniel Craig the Bond role.

300: Written by Frank Miller (Sin City), Directed by Zack Snyder

Awful. Stylistically it looked brilliant. But that didn't make up for the stark lack of script structure or good acting. It just wasn't fun. Can't say I could recommend it to anyone, other than Frank Miller fanatics or those incredibly interested in seeing an inaccurate recreation of the Battle...

What is a good related text for imaginative journeys?

Go watch the movie Stay, directed by Mark Forster. If you get what's going on, it's a fantastic related text. Plenty of shit to talk about in terms of techniques. Seriously, plenty. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is also great, and is also fantastic for History and Memory, if you're...

what stimulus text to use for imaginative?

I found Journey to the Interior to be by far the easiest. You can integrate almost any line into an Imaginative Journeys essay, and the analysis of the poem encourages a far greater level of sophistication than most other texts. Just be careful that you don't get too bogged down in poetic...

    recent discoveries of elements

Look for them on the periodic table... the ones with lots of U's. Also look at discoveries of newer radioisotopes.

    Help for Imaginative Journey Speech!

Kid in my year usually had 1400 to 1500 words in his speeches; full marks every time and it never seemed rushed. It just depends on the speaker.

    Imaginative Journey Essay Question!

Not only is it asking you to discuss the text type, but more importantly, it's asking you to talk about the ways in which the certain techniques used by the composer affect the journey.

what stimulus text to use for imaginative?

Try not to use two mystical/mythical STC poems (Kubla and Ancient Mariner) or two conversational poems (Lime Tree and Frost) in one essay. The essays tend to become either too bogged down in metaphysical and spiritual discussions or too bogged down in philosophical musings. To work...

Fake ID would be great too, to get me through 'till next October :) .

    Plz help hamlet question

Don't know if this really answers your question, but these are a few dot points that I had from a while back. No examples though, which is what you really need. I'm finished now, so I'm not going back and reading through it again for you :) . - The imagery that Shakespeare used was a reflection...
