    Transfering to Law

If you do manage to get the transfer you will basically be a semester behind at first. But since a lot of the foundation units are offered both semesters it shouldn't be long till you catch up by doing law units where you previously had business electives.

    Computer Science: UOW/Syd/NSW?

IT at Usyd is identical to CompSci exactly the same subjects. Except you do an extra year (perhaps 3 majors if you can fit).

    notebook for uni

Some of the Dell Insprion(1150) at www.dell.com.au series will probably fit your budget. If the notebook is for bringing to uni you should look for something with at least 4 hours battery life and weighs no more than 2.5kg you won't get that new for $1300. I just bought a notebook recently...

    Computer Science: UOW/Syd/NSW?

Whats wrong with B.IT at Sydney? It is one of the most difficult IT degree to gain entry (97+) and requires a credit average every year to continue. Just by itself probably none of the IT degrees out there teaches you enough or the right content to easily obtain work after graduation. Employers...

    What's law like @ UWS???

It s quite good actually, better than I expected. Most of the staff have a good balance of teaching and work experience. Rather than all theory some subjects are more practical than others requiring moots. A large number of students in every class are graduates often from areas of humanities...

    Choosing a course...

building and servicing computer hardware sounds like something you get taught in tafe or as an apprentice. If you read here there are 2 possibilites either a IT degree with a major in digital design and systems or a degree in computer engineering

    Interested in Computer courses

it really depends on what you want to do at the end of it all. If you are interested in computing alone it may be wiser to do computer science as I think the extra electical and physics they teach you in software enginnering isnt really necessary if you were to program or maintain a network for...

    Reducing MP3 Size.

WMA sounds better and compresses better at a lower bit rate (64kbps or lower). You might also want to try OGG algorithm probably the best lower bit algorithm.

what kind of forum is it for? The author of the mod (hack) usually provides instructions if not it probably just involves uploading and editing the cp to register the new file.

    Spherion

If an entry level desk job is what you are aiming for it is not a bad option. I know someone that completed a course there along with a tafe diploma and he is now working 1st level helpdesk. This was about a year ago.

2004 hsc ppl - what uni are u planning 2 goto?

The facilities are better (if you were referring to bigger lecture halls, bigger libraries etc). But I don't think most of us are going to uni for the facilities but rather to find good employment by the end of it. From the dozen interviews I have been to your experience what you do outside of...
