    Colesmyer 2004-2005 Christmas Casual Positions

If you want to get a full-time casual position at Myer and begin to work straight away, will it take that long to get a position (until December)? Should I apply instead for a full-time position and if so, how long does it take to begin work after you are accepted? Thanks in advance for any...

    Babysitting?

I was wondering if anyone knows the standard rate to charge for babysitting an 8 year old girl? Is it about $10, $15 or $20 an hour? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Resumes and CV's

I was wondering if anyone knows if you attach photocopy's of your HSC results and the HSC certificate to a resume? I am totally clueless. Also would you include copy's of the course reports? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for responding. Well I am glad I side-stepped sociology. It was on the bottom of my list but I had been considering it. What other subjects are you guys doing as part of your courses? Do you know anything about philosophy or anthropolgy? I am really thankful for any advice or info.

Other option is being an office junior but I've been told that you get paid more in retail. I am so confused about which way to go.

    Any other dancers here?

I did Ballet for 4 years from 7-10 and jazz ballet for 2 from 11-12. I love dancing, but my teacher was a really horrible lady and my friends stopped when we went to highschool so I just stopped too. But I am thinking of taking it up again just for fun and going to the Sydney Dance company open...

    Philosophy

For those of you doing philosophy in UNI, could you please provide an insight into what it's like. I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but since it's still about philosophy...thanks in advance.

So I should probably try and find the human resources department I guess. I just have some experience working in my parents antique and jewellery store, so that would be my only job that I can put down. Does anyone know if you can choose what department you want to work in? thanks again

I was just wondering if anyone has or is working there? What sort of pay are you getting and what do you need to do to get an interview? I have absolutely no idea where to start or how much experience is required. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Okay, so I'll stay clear of sociology. I've had a couple of people say sociology is bad and one say they love it. What in your opinion makes it really bad? Are there any other subjects you wouldn't recommend doing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Am I Doomed To Receive A Bad UAI?

What subjects did you do Winston? Some people estimated that my UAI could have been between 85-87, so I was a little disappointed with my 83.65, but I assumed it was due to my subject choices.

    Modern History Studying Tips

well my best study tip from last year was getting my mum to ask me to answer questions aloud. For some reason having someone to ask me directly rather than memorising by myself helped.

just curious- past and present ancient HSCers

I love learning about ancient history, but I hated Ancient History the HSC subject. I did my HSC last year and Ancient was my hardest exam by far. I think there is just an insane amount of content in comparison to other subjects and to Modern. But I wish you all luck for this year's exams and...

    ArtExpress 2005

Each year I am consistently disappointed by the works in ArtXpress. There are always a couple of stand out artworks that are deserving of praise, but the majority are not really of that high a standard. But then again, I would've loved to have gotten in.

    how much has everyone done?

I did Visual Arts last year and didn't get it finished until the very day it was due, and only seriously started putting it together the previous day. I wouldn't recommend this, but I still ended up with an okay mark >86.

    scaling english standard, etc.

I am someone who got a band 5 in Standard last year. It would probably have been a wiser decision to do Advanced but I was under a silly notion that Standard would be easier and therefore it would be easier to get a higher mark. I really didn't understand how it worked until I came across BOS...

Am I Doomed To Receive A Bad UAI?

Well I did my HSC last year and did Standard English> 83, Ancient History>84, Modern History>83, Geography>84 and Visual Arts>84, so for three out of five subjects we're in the same boat. I got a UAI of 83.65 and got an average HSC mark of 83.6 I didn't really study until the day before each...

    Bachelor of Arts

Well I wasn't sure if I wanted to do psych, but after reading your post I am absolutely going to. I didn't do any HSC science, so will that be a disadvantage, and how hard are the assessments and assignments you have to do? I love that the only exam is multiple choice. Multiple choice tests are...
