How long do you have to accept or defer an offer from a university? A friend of mine is overseas atm, and the person they got to act on their behalf is also away at the time the offers come out. Can they defer their offer over the internet? or do they have to have it sent over now...

I understand that there are a number of bands you can be allocated to for your marks, like band 1, band 2......band 6 etc, etc. Where does Band E3 come from though? Is this higher than a band 6? I'm just a little confused.
