explaination to black-body radiation and planck

i just thought this would be useful to the people (i think most people who does physics) who doesn't quite understand the planck and black body radiation curve. i don't think any one has explained it properly, the text books are just waffling cause the explaination is beyond hsc physics and...

How did quanta explained black body curves

the books are not explaining, they are waffling. then again, if that gets me the marks its all good. why can't the wavelength get any smaller, is the wavelength also quantised?

How did quanta explained black body curves

could you expand on that, I'm not quite understanding it.

    1995 HSC Q5b iii.

the difference is one intepretation has mathematics to back it up, the other just takes a stab at a solution which is given with some sought logic that agree with the solution.

actually majoko, it can get to infinity. the question says its 1500 numbers, not draws. this numbers are replaced, or else the Lose/Win probablity will change with every draw.

    ::1994 Motion Q::

hey i was just doing some revision came across a question exactly like this one in pheonix book. the only difference is that the x'' = 3x(x-2) not -4. so at 2 the particle stops and stays there. maybe its a modify version of the hsc question, where did you get the 1994 paper?

Some advice on these two topics plz!!

err. why would you test for k=2. i always do it by finding the largest k integer that satisfy the inequality, in your case its 3.

Some advice on these two topics plz!!

for range, just sub time of flight into x. for max range let angle of projection = 45. for velocity of return sub time of flight into y', and then resolve it with x'.

i wish graphamatica was allowed in exams, i can't draw :(

im not even gonna argue with you... you people are too smart  for those who wants to get the question right do it my method posted above, and use geometric series with limiting sums. i thought infinite series was in 3u, or am i wrong?

    1995 HSC Q5b iii.

ok the question says exceeding $200 000. so i can lose 100 times in row too. why 25? 25 is simply the minimum number for it to exceed. don't worry about it though, its nothing personal. i just thought it was very wrong.

Some advice on these two topics plz!!

the only variables are x and y, and their differentials. use whatever gets you the solution. if the question says max hieght, then find dy/dx=0, sub the solution into y. its (n-r+1)/r * b/a. greatest coefficient occurs when Tr+1/Tr >1. just solve for n and the substitute into Tr+1.

there is something really wrong with that logic, math teachers are trained to spot fudge solutions. i'll let someone else to point out the mistakes.

hehe. then you should get some sleep, don't do any math the night before exam.
  15. D

    1995 HSC Q5b iii.

no thats not correct, you guys just don't understand the theory in limiting sums in an infinite series.
  16. D

    1995 HSC Q5b iii.

    the solution would be if you don't understand: [(1- 0.015)^25 + (1- 0.015)^26 + (1- 0.015)^27 +.... + (1- 0.015)^infinity]*(0.015) this is a geometric series. since (1- 0.015) <1 it has a limiting sum. S = (1- 0.015)^(25)/ [1 - (1- 0.015)] = (1- 0.015)^(25)/(0.015) now S*(0.015) =...

    1995 HSC Q5b iii.

why? there are only one way that can happen... not 26C1 ways, eg L, L, L, L.... because you have to lose 25 times in a row for that to happen.
  18. D

    More damn integration ><

what? like how they say DON'T USE BY PARTS OR INSPECTION. YOU MUST SUBSTITUTE USING U=XXX.
