    Help - Q. 21 in 2002 HSC paper

Can anyone help me with the relation between acceleration and distance in this question? I can see it must be relatively simple, but I'm just not getting it... For those of you without the paper, there is a cannon 215m long, and the "pod" fired out the end needs to be going 1.03 x 10^3 metres...

yeah, I'd be happy with 60%-65%...either 82% or 82/84 is still pretty damn good...

How did you three unit guys find the 2 unit exam?

The questions weren't too hard, there were just too amny of them...most of those parts in q. 9 and 10 should have been worth 3-4 marks, but were worth 1-2...effectively, twice the amount of difficult questions that there should have been... Think I did alright though...only one I wasn't sure...

    Structure of your exam dates

I have Physics on next Friday, then six days before Software Design on the Thursday afternoon, then English Ext 1 on Friday morning and Engineering on Friday afternoon. So that makes about a 2 and a half hour gap between that and my previous exam...lol Wouldn't mind an extra week in there...

    How'd everyone like the exam???

Hey all - I'm the first one here after the exam! So...how did everyone like it? I didn't mind the comprehension texts, the poem threw me a bit at first though...story was good, just modified one I'd already written, but I didn't finish the essay... How good are the BOS exam booklets...

    Related texts for powerplay?

Don't use Brave New World...bad! It's an HSC text for In The Wild...using it is highly frowned upon, even if you haven't studied it elsewhere...

    Units

1000 Newtons (N) in a Kilonewton (kN), just as there are 1000 grams in a kilogram... As to the MPa, Pascals are a measure of stress, or force per square metre of area. Normal pascals (Pa) are in Newtons per metre squared (N/m^2), so kilonewtons would then be in kilonewtons per metre squared...
