    Rugby League World Cup 2008

Kearney isn't putting Luke on the starting side again and he's left Inu out altogether.

    Rugby League World Cup 2008

Fiji and Samoa will win their respective pools and then it'll probably Samoa who will take on Australia in the first semi. France was really disappointing yesterday. I honestly thought they would be the next best team after the big 3 in the tournament, but they were completely decimated by...

    Rugby League World Cup 2008

Swimming - no way in hell. Swimming is a minority sport in most countries - as is athletics. In fact in Global Sport Sponsorship John Amis writes "it would be an overstatement to suggest swimming to have the global recognition of sports such as soccer and basketball." American sports get larger...

    Rugby League World Cup 2008

Ok in teams sports there is only soccer. And in terms of global media domination, fans, attendences, participation, sponsorship its still only soccer. Track and field and swimming are global but only geographically, which is a pretty superficial interpretation.

SAMOA VS TONGA TONIGHT!!! Could be game of the tournament. The mad thing about Pacific island rugby league games is that both countries do their war dance at the same time. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=rJEidTOI5iA&feature=related

Also in terms of excitement all the other games >>>> Australia vs New Zealand.

    Rugby League World Cup 2008

The only game that is "global" is soccer. And there's about 20 other sports that hold world championships for their respective sports so why shouldn't rugby league.

    NFL, NRL or AFL

Er no it happens in every 'macho' sport/event in most cultures around the world.

    NFL, NRL or AFL

The vast majority of field sports are running and watching your back. That doesn't make AFL very special.

    NFL, NRL or AFL

International rules is a mickey mouse competition that was invented so that AFL players had someone else to play against and to provide some money for the AFL in the off season. None of the officials actually take it any seriously.

    NFL, NRL or AFL

You are only thinking fast when you actually have the ball - and thats the case in both sports. Otherwise you're just standing/running around.

    Speeches anyone?

Serious?? The question was perfect for a planned essay. It was basically the elective statement. "Talk about techniques" - which is what you do in any essay anyway! Also Socrates is hectic! He uses so many techniques - pretentious techniques. Philophronesis, paraprosdokian, polyptoton...

Did you use 1 or 2 related texts for Mdoule C?

I used two but I forgot to compare my 2nd one with the others. :vcross:

    High rank = immunity?

It does not mean immunity. You'll get the HSC mark you got in the exam. But high rank will guarantee you get your school's highest marks for your internal marks. Your overall mark is an average of the two.

    NFL, NRL or AFL

I think it comes down to what you classify as toughness for the NRL and NFL. NFL the hits are often (legally) bigger but you do have A LOT of stoppages. Teams for offense and defense. Wide recievers are incredibly fit but at the same time plenty of players are clinically obese. In rugby...

If you want running, go watch a marathon.

    2008 NRL Premiership

Definately on the warriors bandwagon now. I hate all the top 5.
