    yeah you can, I started off like you, doing BSc(adv) did first year, decided to also pick up engineering, picked it up at the end of first year, all you gotta do is apply through UAC again, because you're currently under the science faculty, but eng/sci is under the eng faculty, its really easy...

    what do you mean 'unless there's a diagram'? always, ALWAYS draw yourself a diagram if they give you information like that... once you put AD in you have two right angled triangles...

    okay i can only be bothered doing question two.. don't know what you want with question three... okay, you got your triangle... AC + AB + BC = 1 therfore BC = 1 - AB - AC BC = 1 - 2x then BD = BC/2 therefore BD = (1-2x)/2 then by pythagoras AD^2 = x^2 - ((1-2x)/2)^2 simplify that...

    yeah like you said, its really hard to get into medicine, but i recommend doing it post grad... like i thought i really would want to do it, but i didn't get in, and i'm doing advanced science at usyd, and i must say i'm pretty happy i didn't. This course allows me to try out other things...
