I'd have to disagree here...personally I think to do well in the final exams we have to have a huge range of knowledge, as well being able to think, organise and plan on the spot...thats just my opinion anyway!:)

hey! Its said that the central material should be between 2500-5000 words. That does not include logbook, intro or conclusion. I was in a similar situation to you with the large word count, I managed to get the central material down to 6000 words but my teacher told me it needed to be cut back...

lol, yeah my brother plays the viola too! it is a nice instrument..nearly as good as the cello :P I bought my cello from the Strings Centre, I definatley agree about the lord of the rings comment, he's a nice guy tho, sold me my cello. :)

Hey yeah, secondary reserach is incorperated throughout the whole PIP, footnotes usually go on the bottom of a page, to make clarifications, references etc :) goodluck

Hey, yeah you are right. Secondary research is getting background research on a particular topic through books or off the internet, where as content analysis is a primary reserach methodology that involves breaking down sources, such as newspaper articles and looking for trends etc

It really depends on alot of things, but if you feel that you are better suited to doing music 2 and you are unhappy doing music 1, then its worth considering changing. I guess at the same time however, you've got to consider the implications of doing the course by correspondance as opposed to...

Yeah,i have done alot of research that suggests that music does increase peoples intelligence, but what do you think? Has it effected you? As for socialisation, even things like meeting new people through music, or someone comming out of their 'shell' as a result of music playing or anything...

Rostropovich died!! I cant believe it, its so sad!! I knew he was sick and everything, but its still such a shock. :( He was such a huge influence to so many cellists.
