Hello fellow year 10s, Has anyone else chosen both 3u maths and 3u English? If so, how are you feeling about it?

Hello, I would like to think I am quite good at maths. If I am doing both advanced and extension 1 maths in year 11 will physics be easy? Or will it still be really hard? Does anyone have any tips for succeeding in year 11 physics? Thanks

I was thinking I could still balance a job and sport with school in year 11 by only working on Sundays and maybe 1 weekday a week. Or is the study such a big step up from year 10 that there’s not enough time to work?

Yeah I’ll probably do that but instead of Chem I’ll do Eng Ext 1 and SOR 1

Thanks! I am now thinking 2 hours a day on weekdays would be more than enough - 1 hour for memorization of things learnt that day, and 1 hour of Maths (I wanna do really well as I wanna do Ext 2 in year 12) And then weekends will be for assignments and reviewing content.

So I read somewhere that 2 hours of study per unit every week is needed to perform well in year 11. For me, this would mean English Adv, Maths Adv, PDHPE, Italian Continuers, and Physics would be 4 hours a week each, and Eng Ext, Maths Ext, and SOR would be 2 hours a week each. Making 26 hours...

Practise questions for an hour a day would be good?

Would 1 hour a day be fine? Or is this too much or not enough?

How much study a week would should I do to achieve a few state ranks? The subjects I am doing are: - 3U and 4U Maths - 3U English - SOR 1 - PDHPE How much study would I need to state rank at least 2 of these? Or are state ranks achieved by just natural talent and not by study time? Thanks

I am studying both Maths Ext 1 and English Ext 1 in year 11. How will I know whether or not I am capable of doing extension 2 in maths and/or English based off year 11? Is there a certain mark I should be getting that will indicate that I am ready?

Thank you! Yes I have heard that high maths needs an hour a day to do well, especially because I want to do Ext 2 in year 12. And physics is maths-based so probably the same. Other subjects I’ll just make sure I’m doing practise questions often.
