Bachelor of Laws: UOW or WSU?

About the TFN, not sure if it's the same at every uni but at least at UNSW you can provide/update your TFN at any time. I would do it before term starts though just so you can get HECS and stuff organised.

    Bio Predications

Gl guys because last year's paper was pretty easy 💀

    2024 harder than 2023?

For example, if we think that this is harder than 2021, which had an alignment of 74-->90, then this year may be around that mark.

    2024 harder than 2023?

You won't know until the results come out, but you can always estimate based on other years

When do they post the past HSC paper?

Sometimes teachers will scan them after the exam. Often happens with math and answers are normally out for math by the end of the day

What band do i need to qualify for assumed knowledge?

They dont ask for the bands lol but engineering math def relies on ext 1 knowledge so I would look into that first.

    i wish everyone good luck.

Good luck everyone! I'm sure you guys will do great :) Remember the HSC is not everything, and you can have success regardless of how well you do in an exam. That being said all the best in achieving the marks you all want!

Is the trimester here that bad?

Trimesters are certainly full on but if you can time manage well, you'll be fine. Personally don't love them because you always have things to do, and the short breaks. UNSW certainly has the biggest engineering faculty, but as @carrotsss mentioned above, probably wouldn't make that much of a...

    Trimesters

You just have to be good with time management - and don't take flexi week as a break BC if you don't do any work you will 100% fall behind. Otherwise, it's really not that bad.

    internal marks = overall atar?

Lucky for you, I tracked all of my marks last year lol. But take it with a grain of salt BC your internal marks don't actually affect your HSC other than the rank within your cohort that they decide. My ATAR was 89.85.

    Degree Suggestions

My brother is in Year 11 at the moment and is interested in a degree to do with PDHPE/Sport Science sort of area. I don't think that he would want to go into Education though. Please recommend some degree ideas !

    Most important concepts??

Most important stuff I would say would be genetics/disease. You can always analyse the mapping grid at the end of past marking guidelines as well, I've attached the 2022 one below. Hope this helps ☺️

    2024 HSC Chat

I second this. My bio teacher is a HSC marker and she says that they mark whatever is on the page (eg like a punnet square on side, observations). Not sure if it the same for English - but they definitely won't take away marks for any wrongly annotated observations - so long as these are...

Deciding between SLR, PDHPE (Health and Movement Science) or Music 1

As someone who did Music 1 - would say that it wouldn't be worth it if you don't have the passion/time. Because you have to do 3 electives (either performance, musicology, composition) + 1 core performance it ends up being a lot of work (particularly if you choose composition/musicology), and of...
