Also I knew I wanted to go to selective about a year before. So during year 10 I grinded heaps of extracurriculars, even just simple ones like attending a sports day or helping out with a school event you can put that in and just gas it up.
I moved to a selective during Year 11 and I know a person who had no extracurriculars and got in. Tbf it was a top 30 selective school so nothing super high.
Plus they tend to piortise girls over guys to get in, to even up the ratio of boys:girls because most selective schools have...
Hmm true, I guess I'm not too concerned with other subjects its just a shame that I enjoy physics so much but its one of my lowest performing subjects.
So for this subject it averages for my school that top 15 get Band 6 and im currently ranked 30th atm. Is it still possible to get a band 6 just from doing rlly well in hsc or should I just focus that energy on other stuff?

Thank you. Yeah I got recommended to extension english based on my year 10 marks but I chose to give it a pass. I'm not too sure about business but I'm planning to drop that in year 12 anyways.

Math adv
Math ext
Eng adv
Chem
Physics
Ancient hist
Business studies
So 13 units in total, except I didn't realise Business studies and Ancient history are super shit scaling.
I'm considering doing Ext Eng and dropping business studies because I'm quite good at English just I don't...
Thank you! My main concern is friends, especially because I'm coming from my friend group who I'm all really close with and spent years developing connections with, just to move into a new environment where I don't really know anyone and they all have established friend groups.
