at unsw software engineering is pretty much the same as computer science, all of the courses in the first year are the same, the only difference is that you can get co-op, otherwise just do computer science if you decide to go unsw.
apart from content as notme mentioned above, i think the most beneficial thing of doing these 2 subjects together is that the study techniques used is almost identical for the 2 subjects.

if you got an independent/private school (your email wont have the @education.nsw.gov.au tag) they delete it completely pretty soon after HSC and for public it is as c_z_m says where it is deleted roughly 3 months later.
i feel like this happend to me for ext 2 cause my pages were a bit scrambled and i was confused when my x2 external was a lot lower than my internal. Would they not recheck in the same way making the result check pointless?
I recommend not choosing a course based off atar requirements. Also that range is most likely too specific to have an option that you would want to do.
