    Antithesis/juxtaposition/contrast

Contrast and juxtaposition are very similar (opposites e.g. happy/sad)- in terms of analysing your texts and providing quotes you can use them interchangeably. Antithesis refers to a result which was NOT expected (e.g. a character who appears very innocent throughout the text, but at the...

Discovery creative writing, is this idea too violent?

Completely fine, as long as you focus on the emotions and avoid physical details of how violence/death occurs

Life of Pi Related text. NEED HELP ASAP

For a picture book try 'Maus' by Art Spiegelman (about Holocaust survivors- covering survival (Jews in the Holocaust), spirituality (loss of faith in God), truth (Nazi propaganda and lies)) For a short story try 'The Poison Belt' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (sci-fi about surviving a poisonous belt...

Spirited away as a related text for discovery

^Because of what other users mentioned above (Spirited Away is often studied in Year 7/8) I suggest you should avoid it, as it reflects the expected level of a student studying that text (you would be surprised at some of the age expectations NESA holds for texts- e.g. Lord of the Flies is...

    confusion of module c

Most likely your essay focused more on the module topic e.g. people/politics, people/landscape, rather than the overarching concept of representation. Make sure after your topic sentence in each paragraph you explain WHY the author represents (idea of topic sentence) and link it back to the...
