Pretty sure it is HD average (HD WAM).

University with a solid teaching course?

I am pretty sure teaching is a graduate course at Unimelb. They call it Master of Teaching (Primary). Most courses at Unimelb are graduate, including engineering, which is undergrad everywhere else. There is no benefit in doing a graduate course over an undergrad course. A graduate course just...

would you stop buying hard copies of books and download them off the net?

Problem with eBooks is that a lot of publishers use that stupid software called VitalSource, for better security. It is slow, crashes a lot, doesn't let you print more than 5 pages and doesn't let you convert to PDF. I personally prefer eBooks but strictly in PDF format because I don't use...

How difficult is to trasnfer to 92 ATAR cut off course?

I think a credit (65+) should be enough. The following information is for UNSW. I got this information from the admissions team at UNSW. If you apply to transfer after completing 1 semester of university study, your assessment will be based on raw ATAR. If you have completed a full year of...

Double degree or single degree + honors?

Thank you very much OzKo and isildurrrr1, CS + Honors it is then, most likely :D Other than the normal software development roles a CS degree leads to, I am also interested in finance so I thought a second major in statistics or finance would make me more employable in finance but I know many...

University with a solid teaching course?

Teaching as in primary/secondary education? I think USYD and UNIMELB are pretty good at that. I wouldn't recommend unimelb though because many of my friends who went there (I used to live in VIC) tell me that they are very dissatisfied.

Double degree or single degree + honors?

Hello, If I do a double degree in CS + maths or CS + commerce, it would take 4 years but if I do a single degree in CS + honors in CS, it would also take 4 years to graduate. I am not sure which is better in terms of employment. I am 100% sure I want CS but would a double degree increase my...

Answers to Accommodation/Colleges questions at UNSW

Has anyone tried renting a room in a share house around campus (Randwick, Kingsford, etc.)? It is a bit cheaper but I can't tell if worth it.

    UNSW Chit Chat Thread

Re: UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2015. Is it only me or are there are more subjects run in semester 1 than semester 2 for the Engineering and CSE departments? I am having a hard time making my study plan for next year because all the subjects I want to do are in semester 1 only.

So what are you guys playing at the moment?

I completed Metro 2033 Redux and Wolfenstein The New Order recently and they have been two very enjoyable games. Wolfenstein is quite short, finished it in like 2 days but Metro 2033 Redux is very long and very interesting. Metro 2033 is full of suspense and it is the first game that got me...
