    Medicine ?

people say biology isn't a real science in high school but funnily enough, it's high key important in med (and the content is the same, just much more in depth)

You could always go consult with your university careers office. They can suggest internships that are right for you.

How do you keep all your notes organised?

Going into senior years in high school meant a lot more note taking so I just ended up putting everything on my laptop (and making sure to back up). I would arrange my notes on a word document by topics so when i printed out notes to study for exams, it was a lot more easier and faster. If you...

    No Idea on Uni Course

don't feel too trapped with your choices right now. If your school happens to hold career events, you can get inspiration from that or you could attend career expos/ uni open days later in the year. Even if you can't make up your mind during course selections, always remember that you can...

    How to study for NAPLAN???

It's really about basic skills like spelling, grammar, arithmetics etc. I guess you could pop into a book store and pick up a workbook targeted towards naplan.

FIRST BLOCK OF ASSIGNMENT RESULTS CAME BACK! Can I still achieve my ATAR goal?

that's a good start! each assessment is worth only a part of your school marks and then an even smaller part of your overall mark (internals and externals combined) so increasing your marks from now on to achieve 98 atar is definitely possible. What you need to aim for now is consistency as...

To all those who went to selective high schools

Coming from a top 5 selective school i have to say that the environment differs depending on how you are. Someone joined in year 11 but ended up leaving because the environment was too competitive for her. Some people really embrace the competition and it motivates them to aim higher.

    Getting ahead in uni

First year uni student here! Obviously i have no idea how classes work and such so I'm not too sure about effective study methods and such. Also what are good ways to get ahead in class? High school was so much more straightforward :uhoh::uhoh::uhoh:

studying 10 hours a day is right or wrong

I watch live study streams of korean students who study for 10+ hours a day. It works for them but honestly, i don't suggest it. If you are doing efficient study and are absorbing materials correctly then anything under 5 hours would suffice.

    Year 11 2018 Premlim

Chem/ Bio/ Phys- if you can get your hands on really well made notes by a top performing student, that would be good but if you can't, make sure you make really good notes yourself. Don't let your notes become too long, you need concise notes that are relevant. Bio is pretty much just memorising...

Help with uni courses and classes??

Hello! I'm just starting uni next year but I don't really understand how classes and core courses work. 1. What are core courses? Are they mandatory classes and do I have to attend all of them in one semester? 2. Are prescribed electives meant to be all done within the course of the...

    Question about UMAT Packs

There really isn't much that can be updated in UMAT. Buying an outdated version should be fine as there are no questions regarding current day society unlike LAT where they require knowledge of current issues. All the questions regard situational questions or patterns so nothing can really...

    Extra books for HSC study

    1. For biology, I got Heinemann. It was pretty good but... go down to point 2 2. Doing past papers is definitely more worth than buying textbooks (depending on the subject). As long as you have sufficient notes, you don't need many textbooks other than the ones provided by the school. 3. Instead...
