No doubt USyd is better than MQ, especially for Arts. And with that kind of an ATAR I feel like she should be looking at better institutions of study as well. On the flip-side, the probability of being awarded a full scholarship at MQ as an undergrad applicant would be greater than at USyd as...
They go through UAC so you might want to consider calling a UAC representative for MQ as an alternative, or just calling Student Services again and/ or the department of study that you're interested in and inquiring until someone can ascertain it to you confidently.
From what I understand they...
First of all, with a 98.2 ATAR you are almost certainly going to be accepted into a Bachelor of Arts - Anthropology stream at Macquarie University unless you happen to be a serial axe-murderer ;)
As far as scholarships go however, most MQ scholarships are offered to domestic students. There is...
Re: Didn't attend my Final Exam, may not get accepted into Special Consideration, wha
I'm not sure many doctors would be so willing to back-date medical papers. Exams just started though so presumably this was pretty recent. Log onto ask.mq.edu and apply for an appointment with an advisor to...
Re: What WAM/GPA needed to transfer to the Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science @ USY
Agreed. Credit average should be more than enough. Apply for similar courses as 2nd and 3rd preferences at USyd just in case you fall victim to some freak circumstance and you could just study units that are...
I replied to you in another thread :). Just to reiterate, you should be getting a distinction average at minimum for your GPA/ 80+ WAM in your current course studies in order to consider applying for transfer. UAC is tight-lipped but USyd is always highly competitive for places. A lot of...
Nope. Sydney University is highly competitive for places, you'd need to have a Distinction average minimum to be considered for commerce. I listed USyd Commerce as a 3rd or 4th preference back in 2010 and didn't get accepted, I did however get accepted into another course at UTS or UNSW that had...
Huh, I had a lot of complications with advisors who gave me misinformation as well. Actually really shot me in the foot with their sage advice.
Interesting, keep us updated. Didn't realise internal transfers were so difficult in UNSW. AFAIK it should just entail lodging a form for internal...
What Drogonski just said:
Foremost if you're not willing to put in the hard work now, what's your rationale for why you would change your mind in future? Chemical Engineering is no joke, that's an intensive workload in comparison to other courses, and a high level of academic rigour and deep...
Macquarie University examination period concludes 28th June and 2nd semester commences 29th July.
UNSW examination period concludes 2nd July and 2nd semester classes commence 29th July.
Sydney University examination period concludes 29th June and 2nd semester classes commence 29th July.
Re: Guys im thinking of transfering to another uni to get my transcript wiped off.
Every university has a different process but at least in the case of Macquarie University, they only note the units that you've received exemption from and do not cite transcript results from your previous...
Re: Guys im thinking of transfering to another uni to get my transcript wiped off.
Hey man,
Just to let you know intra-university transfers are typically done through UAC and on the premise of your results, you wouldn't get accepted into UNSW.
Going on from what you've said I would recommend...
My mate is interested in tutoring actually and lives in the area.
